All we could do was just laugh at the situation. It was a test! For those of you who know me pretty well you would think that I would be stressed out and freaking. Well...I didn't! I was calm and just laughing. I think I passed the test today!!!! So now I have new tires and a new job at Children's Place to pay for them! :) When you can't control the situation, go with the flow, right? :)

The Adventures of Heather
So today was quite the day. I had a job interview at 11:00 at the mall for seasonal help, so Doug came home for lunch early to watch the kids. I took the truck because I thought it would be easier than trying to change the seat in the car before I left. Well, that plan seemed to back fire on me. I was maybe a block away from the house and the tire sounded funny. I figured it was just the road and kept driving. I didn't hear it after that. I then pulled up to a light about a mile and half away from the house when a FedEx driver pulled up next to me and told me that my back tire was flat. So...I turned around and called Doug. He told me I shouldn't drive on it to get home; so I parked the car in front of someone's house. Doug came rushing over with the kids. Now, keep in mind that I had the car with the carseats in it...Luckily I was on the back roads, so there wasn't too much traffic and a slower speed limit. I jumped in Doug's car and left him with the flat tire and kids with no diapers or formula. I rushed to my interview and made it with 2 minutes to spare...boy was I lucky! I finished my interview and went back to see what I could do to help Doug out. (I got the job by the way!) Well...Doug was having trouble because the tool for the tire was too big, so he couldn't change the tire and was waiting for AAA to come. He decided to check the tool that was in his car, and it fit! So he was changing the tire while I was trying to cancel AAA...by then the tow truck was already there; we told him we were good and didn't need anymore help. So Doug changed the tire for me and then we put everything away and Doug waited for me to pull out to go back home. Well...Elizabeth had been playing the truck and turned the key in the ignition and so the battery was dead! So Doug had to jump the truck with his car. Doug, My Hero! We finally made it home. It was time to buy new tires so I went and had new ones put on today. This is what they found in my tire...
